How we raise our kittens

GudrunSplace is a small, home-based Norwegian Forest Cat cattery on Vancouver Island.

Each litter is carefully planned with attention to health, temperament, and correct breed type. Kittens are raised in our home with steady routines and daily handling so they leave confident and well adjusted.

Our breeding cats are health tested according to current breed recommendations.

Kittens are placed as indoor companions, and we remain available to our families throughout the cat’s life.

If at any point a family cannot keep their cat, we ask to be contacted first. Every cat we bring into the world remains our responsibility.

Kitten Application

T-Litter - January 20, 2026 - Sire: Aslan - Dam: JoY

Tilda - available

Tilda is a very pretty blue tortie with white.  She was the first to explore the nursery and is fearless!

Tuula - available

Tuula is the quintessential peaches and cream tabby girl, with glorious white markings and a super soft coat.

Tomi - reserved

Tómi is a cream with white male, just starting to toddle.  He’s already showing a relaxed personality.

Theodor - reserved

Theodor has a dense blue (silver?) coat and is so cuddly he morphed into “Teddy”.  Now that he’s reserved he‘s Theo again because his homey is called Cleo.  Rhymes anyone?

Villie - reserved

Villie is a black silver tabby male with beautiful markings.  I can’t help thinking about Wee Willie Wilkie when I say his name!

Theia - reserved

Theia is a highly unusual red female (only 20% of red cats are girls).  She has a flaming red coat, and very pretty white markings - including a Polaris tail tip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at gudrunsplace@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

FOOD – Prioritize Moisture

Cats do best on moisture-rich diets (canned or fully rehydrated raw).

Dry food can be used occasionally, but hydration supports urinary and kidney health.

Wet Food Examples:

·  • Weruva

·  • Tiki Cat (After Dark formulas are excellent for kittens)

·  • Ziwi Peak (canned)

·  • Feline Natural (canned)

·  • RAWZ 96%

·  • Fancy Feast (accessible option)

Freeze-Dried / Air-Dried (Rehydrate before feeding):

·  • Feline Natural

·  • Stella & Chewy’s

·  • Open Farm

·  • Ziwi Peak (air-dried)

Add warm water and serve soft (stew consistency).

LITTER SETUP

Our cats use EasyClean Unscented litter.

Keeping the same litter initially makes transition easier.

·  • Unscented clumping litter

·  • Large litter box (one per floor is ideal)

ESSENTIALS

·  • Scratching post

·  • Wand toy (Da Bird style)

·  • Balls or small toys
