Kitten Application

T-Litter - January 20, 2026 - Sire: Aslan - Dam: JoY

Tomi - available

Tómi - 3 weeks

Tómi is a cream with white male, just starting to toddle.  He’s already showing a relaxed personality.

Theodor - available

Teddy - 3w

Theodor has a dense blue (silver?) coat and is so cuddly he morphed into “Teddy”.

Tuula - available

Tuula is a very calm cream tabby girl with glorious white markings and a super soft coat.

Villie - reserved

Villie is a black silver tabby male with beautiful markings.  I can’t help thinking about Wee Willie Wilkie when I say his name!

Theia - reserved

Theia is a highly unusual red female (only 20% of red cats are girls).  She has a flaming red coat, and very pretty white markings - including a Polaris tail tip.

Tilda - available

Tilda is an exquisite blue tortie with white.  She was the first to explore the nursery and is fearless!

Frequently Asked Questions

FOOD - Feed 3 times a day until 12 months of age, then twice a day

Note:
Your kitten/cat eats a variety of cat-appropriate food that changes with the season and their needs. I sometimes feed freeze-dried or dehydrated meat as toppers and treats. Cats thrive on high-moisture diets (rehydrated raw or canned). The results are better overall health, smaller stools, and less odour.
Cats are desert animals and do not naturally drink enough water to process dry food through intestines designed for moisture-rich prey. Feeding dehydrated or canned food supports urinary tract and kidney health.

WET FOOD (Canned or Cooked for your Table (First Choice)

Choose high-quality, grain-free, high-meat canned foods.
Avoid ingredients such as: corn, wheat, soy, potato, pea protein, carrageenan, and “natural flavour” (MSG).

Excellent Options:

  1. Weruva – Cats in the Kitchen (very popular here)
  2. Weruva – Truluxe
  3. Tiki Cat – After Dark (especially kitten formulas)
  4. Feline Natural Canned – Beef or Lamb
  5. Ziwi Peak Canned – Beef, Lamb, Venison
  6. RAWZ 96% Meat
  7. Fancy Feast

Occasional Addition (Once Weekly):

  • Sardines in sunflower oil (human food section, Costco)
    • Rinse the tin with boiling water
    • Pour over the fish before serving
    • If your kitten/cat drinks the liquid and leaves the fish, that’s normal here too

DEHYDRATED / FREEZE-DRIED RAW (2nd Choice)

  1. Feline Natural (New Zealand) – Beef, Lamb, Venison
  2. Stella & Chewy’s Freeze-Dried Raw – Beef, Lamb, Rabbit (avoid poultry if your cat dislikes it)
  3. Open Farm Freeze-Dried Raw – Beef or Lamb
  4. Ziwi Peak Air-Dried – Beef or Lamb (use as meals or toppers)

How to Serve Dehydrated / Freeze-Dried Raw

  • Rehydrate fully before feeding
  • Use warm (not hot) water
  • Ratio:
    • Crumble food
    • Add enough water to fully saturate (it should look like stew, not crumbs)
    • Let sit 3–5 minutes
  • Stir well and serve at room temperature
  • Never feed dry—cats need the added moisture

(For kittens, slightly more water is ideal.)

KIBBLE (Third Choice / Emergency Only)

  1. Feline Natural Freeze-Dried
(Can be fed dry occasionally but always offer fresh water. Rehydrated is better.)

TREATS

  1. Freeze-dried liver (Costco, dog section is fine)
  2. Small pieces of plain roast beef or ham
  3. Cooked chicken from your roasted chicken
  4. Cooked chicken hearts or livers (occasional)
  5. Instinct Raw Longevity – Grass-Fed Beef & Wild-Caught Cod
  6. Stella & Chewy’s Duck Duck Goose

SUPPLEMENTS

  1. Best Paw Salmon Oil – occasional squirt over food
  2. FortiFlora Probiotic – sprinkle over 4–5 meals
  3. Organika Colostrum
    • Open capsule and sprinkle over several meals
    • Excellent immune support, especially during stressful transitions
(When I researched it, I started taking it too.)

LITTER BOX

Your kitten has used both open and closed litter boxes.
You should have one litter box per floor of your house.

  • Walmart has the cheapest extra-large litter boxes (online)
  • Large cement mixing trays from Home Depot are a favourite here—especially for very large cats

LITTER

  1. Easy Clean Unscented (favourite, but heavy)
  2. Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight (easiest for humans)

TOYS & ACCESSORIES

  1. Scratching post (Walmart online)
  2. Da Bird or Da Worm (fishing toy)
  3. Tunnel
  4. Balls (ping-pong balls are current favourites)
  5. Feathers
  6. Boxes
  7. Cat tree (Norwegian Forest Cats LOVE very high places)
  8. Extra-small cat harness (no collars—they ruin that beautiful ruff)
  9. Retractable leash
